415 CPI Enhanced Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Recertification
Due to COVID-19, The SELPA has placed a temporary extension on CPI recertification. If you received CPI certification in the 19-20 school year, your CPI Blue Card is now valid for 18 months of the issue date. Please note the SELPA will offer recertification for LEAs who are currently serving students through an in-person delivery model. If you need additional assistance, please contact your Program Specialist.

Please make sure to register with the email address associated with your Zoom account. It will need to match when you log in on the day of the training.

This two-part recertification training will consist of watching an online web module and passing CPI's quiz prior to a 4 hour live instruction session via Zoom. Completion of the post-test will result in your blue card being mailed to your home.

The Crisis Prevention Institute’s (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention recertification training is intended for participants who have completed the Full Enhanced CPI certification course within the previous 18 months. CPI’s Nonviolent Crisis Intervention recertification program is designed to review the techniques required to respond early and effectively in order to prevent or defuse a behavioral escalation. Participants will also review the essential skills needed to safely manage dangerous behavior within the school setting. It is recommended that schools have a small team (3-5 staff members) trained per site.
